irector A.R. Murugadoss' ‘7aum Arivu' has Suriya sporting the look of a monk. The film marks actor Shruti Hassan's début in Tamil. With these two factors building considerable hype around the film already, a Chinese song can only add to it.
Upbeat ahead of the audio launch, scheduled on September 22, the director is confident that Harris Jayaraj's six songs for the film will become instant hits.
While each song belongs to a different genre, one song, penned by Madhan Karky in Chinese, promises to be exciting. Harris is said to have used authentic Chinese instruments, evoking an oriental flavour.
Murugadoss says: “The music and lyrics have come out beautifully. Harris' tunes are very catchy and the four lyricists – Pa. Vijay, Madhan Karky, Na.Muthukumar and Kabilan have done a brilliant job.” For the Chinese song, the crew went to China, recreated a 6th century Chinese village and filmed sequences featuring Suriya and nearly 1,000 junior artists from China.
