The film, helmed by Indrajit Lankesh is expected to be a big-ticket entertainer. “It has been a very thrilling experience, I am doing such as role for the first time,” says the actress excitedly. Who is very taken up with the “garden city.”

“Initially, he was reluctant, but finally relented after being convinced that this kiss was necessary to establish the strong bond between the lovers. The scene will have Kajal resting on her bed as Mahesh indulges in a passionate kiss to add fillip to their romance,” says a source close the director.

Apparently, the Gen X star joins the likes of Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Allu Arjun who also indulged in lip-locks and became famed lover boys on screen.

Is this just to titillate the front benchers? “No, it’s not, because the director has captured the moment aesthetically,” the source adds.

Kajal Agarwal has been roped in to pair up with handsome Mahesh Babu in his soon to be launched movie, The Business Man. 

Puri Jagannadh directs this film. RR Movie Makers produces the flick that will commence its regular shoot in August. 

Earlier Sruthi Haasan was considered for this movie, but after seeing the string of successes Kajal has delivered recently, the producer and director signed this Agarwal beauty.

The producer is planning to release the audio (music by SS Thaman) in the last week of December.  The movie, as promised earlier, will be released on Jan. 13.

There are high expectations from the film for the reason because it is for the first time that Gunasekhar is directing a full-fledged mass, action entertainer.  Though a touch of class cannot be ruled out, it is a fact that Nippu is branded as a film where fireworks fly.

That Gunasekhar, Ravi Teja and producer YVS Chowdhary were room-mates before they entered the film industry is well-known.  With the hero having the record of scoring two hits in two Sankranthi seasons - Krishna and Mirapakai - expectations on Nippu are naturally positive.    Dr. Rajendra Prasad is playing an important role here.

Promising that the songs will look even better on the celluloid, he said that Raju Sundaram and Brinda were the choreographers of the film.

K-town star Richa Gangopadhyay who reportedly pulled out of the movie Shortcut Romeo due to date issues attributed the loss of the film to Neil Nitin Mukesh.

When BT quizzed Neil about this, he said, "Richa was supposed to do the film. Basically, it is the director's call whether he wants the actor to do a film or not. I believe she had certain commitments down south and couldn't be part of the project. And I believe in finishing a film before taking on other project. I wish her good luck and hope to work with her soon."

Latest news is that, reigning South Indian actress Trisha will be the heroine opposite Venkatesh in the Telugu remake of director Siddiques Malayalam super hit “Bodyguard”, being remade in Tamil as “Kaavalan” with Vijay and Asin, remake in Hindi with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Notably, this is the hat rick film of Trisha with Venkatesh. Earlier, they gave a hit “Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule” and “Namo Venkatesa”. 

This untitled Telugu version of “Bodyguard” will be remade in Telugu by the original director himself and produced by C. Venkataraju and Sivaraju. The shooting is expected to commence after Venkatesh completes ongoing “Nagavalli”, a sequel to Kannada super hit “Apta Rakshaka”.

Playing a true dumbo in a film is hard for Genelia D’Souza because she is not in the least like that. Genelia plays a clueless chick in flick Life Partner who goes on trying different occasions but she does not know what to do actually. She tries out the profession of music and fails miserably. In short she is a spoilt kid of rich parents which in real life she is not and she is really baffled about this reel life character. Anyway Genelia manages it all but she feels bad at the thought that Govinda would give her a brow beating in the film.

Parashuram's Solo is about family values and the joys of a joint family.

Gautam (Nara Rohith), an orphan, yearns to marry a girl from a large family. His attempts to find such a girl are fruitless, until one day he meets Vaishnavi (Nisha Agarwal), a medical student and falls in love with her. Vaishnavi's father (Prakash Raj is against the match because, ironically, he wants his daughter to marry into a joint family and not to an orphan with no family! He fixes a match with Ravi.

The second half of the film is a real tear-jerker. M S Narayana and Srinivas Reddy provide the laughs in the first half, which keep the tone breezy, but the momentum flags somewhat as the film progresses.

The dialogue, written by Parashuram, is pretty crisp and meaningful. But the film follows a predictable path, particularly with the third angle in the triangle, Ravi.  It is much like other films that have dealt with a similar situation. The scenes leading to the climax are worth a watch, though.

Sri Rama Rajyam' is one film that the Telugu film industry can be proud of. In these days, when everything is commercialised and films have an overdose of sex and violence, kudos to the producer to opt for a mythological film, which is made tastefully and with commitment.

'Sri Rama Rajyam' is a well-known story, so it's a challenge to remake such a classic, but Bapu's good work turns the remake into another classic.

Bapu wins his first battle by picking up the right artists. Selecting legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, contemporary of NTR, to play Valmiki and actress Nayantara for Sita's role are certainly worthy choices.
