This is a time of remakes and the latest Bollywood film to join this long list is 'Tanu Weds Manu.' The Hindi original had Madhavan playing Manu and Kangana playing Tanu. The film was a huge hit in the North, especially in Delhi and the neighboring areas. Now there are plans being made for remaking the film in Tamil and Telugu.
Some sources reveal that the Telugu version will begin to roll out first and that Tapsee Pannu is being strongly considered for the role. Though the 'Aadukalam' girl has not signed in the dotted lines she is believed to be very upbeat about playing Tanu's character in the film.
At the moment Tapsee is anticipating her upcoming Tamil film 'Vandhaan Vendraan' opposite Jiiva. The film is believed to have a lot of action, and also showcases Tapsee as a tough girl wielding a gun.
There are also talks going on for remaking the film in Tamil with Madhavan and Trisha playing the leads. The storyline of the film is about an NRI coming to India as per his parents' wish to marry. But once here and seeing a girl the hero falls madly in love with her only to find out that the love of his life is in love with someone else. What ensues after, forms the crux of the story.......
