When contacted Sona, said, “Namitha should be honoured that I took her as an inspiration. If she has other notions about it being cheap publicity, then she needs to think more positively. I don't want to encourage such cheap talk.”
She adds, “I heard from common friends that Namitha was upset about the scene. I felt bad and messaged her, however, she chose not to respond.”
Namitha who is visibly upset about the turn of events, says, “There are 100 Sonas out there. The only thing I can do is ignore her comments. The positive side of the current controversy is I am happy that people think I am worthy enough for them to actually imitate me in films — similar to how people often imitate Superstar Rajinikanth.”
On a serious note, she says, “Enough is enough, if she indulges in such slander further, I will also not remain a silent spectator.”
