South Indian actress Nithya Menen will handle the lead character in the remake of 70’s evergreen Malayalam film Chattakari, which was remade in Hindi as Julie. She who made remarkable foot print in Kollywood through her movies ‘180’ and ‘Veppam’ is now going to Bollywood. This film will be directed by K.S. Sethumadhavan, the original starred Lakshmi and Mohan in the lead.
Nithya Menen will play the role made memorable by Lakshmi; newcomer Unni Mukundan (who played hero in Seedan (Tamil), a remake of Malayalam film Nandanam) will perform Mohan’s role.
